This homeowner lives by a river and as a result, they continually got water in their basement, because of this reason they decided many years ago to leave the basement as it was. After many years of dealing with the headache of receiving two-plus feet of water in their basement every time after it would storm they said enough is enough and contacted Basement Systems of New York to see what their options were to take care of the issue at hand. For us to take care of the water problem they were experiencing and bring peace of mind to them, we poured approximately 2' on average of 3/8ths gravel in their basement. Once this was completed we installed two of our patented SuperSump Plus systems with two separate discharge lines. Once both sump pumps were installed we laid down our drain matting, which will help divert any water that possibly would penetrate their home to their new sump pumps. Finally, we poured a new four-inch thick concrete slab over everything. Due to performing this work their basement was transformed from a basement into a crawl space. Although they lost some head and storage space they gained a more comfortable usable area. Since we completed this project they have not seen any water and could not be more pleased with the decision they made to contact us and have the work performed.

Running Piping To Install Gravel

Before we were able to lay our gravel we needed to get our piping system that would shoot our gravel over the entirety of the basement into that space, then start to lay it.

Once the right back area was filled with the proper amount of concrete we moved our pipe to the left side and started to fill the rest of the area.
