Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Bringing A Crawl Space Back To Life - Port Jervis, NY
This homeowner had a dirt floor basement that varied in height with an attached crawl space with very high humidity levels. There as well were multiple points where the floor was reinforced already with metal columns/jack posts, but they still had issues with their home being structurally sound.
Their main concern in their basement and crawl space was the humidity. Because of this, they were extremely interested in putting in a cement floor or vapor barrier. Because of this,we ended up installing the following solutions in order to take care of the humidity issue, as well as their foundation issues.
More specifically we encapsulated their area with CleanSpace and installed a new concrete floor. Along with this,we installed our Smartjack system and I-Beams under the existing world girder to support the structural integrity of the home. We then removed the wood shims from the floor and replaced them with metal shims. Finally,we installed our SaniDry XP dehumidification system to remove all the excess humidity from their home.
Since installing all these systems they have felt nothing but peace of mind that their home is now comfortable both from being excessively humid and that their foundation is now structurally sound.
