Lifting, Leveling, and Supporting A Home With Stabil-Loc Push Piers and SmartJack Foundation Supports - Livingston Manor, NY Lifting, Leveling, and Supporting A Home With Stabil-Loc Push Piers and SmartJack Foundation Supports - Livingston Manor, NY

Due to where this home was built this homeowner's foundation was originally built on hard rock soil. The soil that their home was built on ultimately led to the cracking of their foundation, as well as the sinking of it. Due to this they knocked the original foundation down and built a new foundation on their existing soil. Due to not building the foundation on virgin soil the second time around the issues that they had dealt with their old foundation occurred again. Because they were tired of having to worry about living in an unsafe home these homeowners contacted Basement Systems of New York to see what could be done to help rectify their home's foundation.

To rectify the situation at hand we had to dig down several inches to get underneath their footing. Once we were underneath their footing we strategically implemented four Stabil-Loc push piers underneath their foundation, two on the right-hand side, one in the center, and one on the left-hand side. Our Stabil-Lock push pier systems once fully installed would allow for us to properly level and support their home. Next, we installed four Smartjacks foundation support systems underneath their main girder in their crawl space to distribute the weight of their home properly. Finally, before backfilling we filled the void that was created by us truing their home, by doing this we were able to ensure that no additional foundation issues will occur.

Even before their project was completed these homeowners could notice a significant difference in how their doors and windows opened, as well as how level their floors were. Once the project was fully completed they could not believe that the issues that they had been dealing with for several years were finally gone and they could sleep well at night knowing that their home would not sink ever again.

Waterproofing A Home On The Mountainside With FlowGuard and A Gravity Discharge - Livingston Manor, NY

These homeowners had a tremendous amount of water that would come into their basement every time it would rain due to hydrostatic pressure. Because of this, their basement was, constantly saturated with water. Because of the water that would enter their basement they had a constantly humid space. Because of the excessive humidity mold was allowed to form. Because of the stack effect their entire home was affected by what was going on in their basement. After dealing with this issue for many years they finally said enough is enough and decided to contact the professionals at Basement Systems of New York to see how we could help them with the issues that were plaguing their home.

Upon our Design Specialist completing his consultation he determined that the best course of action would be to install our patented FlowGuard system with laterals. The reason this was the best system for their home was due to the thickness of their concrete slab, as well as where their mechanicals was. Normally we can run our waterproofing system around the perimeter of the basement, but due to the mechanicals, we had to opt for laterals. The laterals we installed will work the same as if we had put in our typical continuous one-piece system to get all the water from the basement to our gravity basin.

Once our system was in place, we then connected everything and dug for our gravity basin. This basin would allow for any water that our system would catch to go out to daylight with the help of gravity. A gravity discharge was ideal for this project because of how their yard was pitched. As well a gravity discharge was important to the homeowners as they do not live there year-round. Essentially they would not be able to monitor the system. By installing a gravity discharge, they do not have to worry about losing power and their system not keeping their home dry.

Since installing our patented systems these homeowners have noticed an increase in their comfort levels throughout the entire home. As well they now have a dry and comfortable basement that they can finally again use as an area for storage and entertainment. They could not be more thrilled with how their project turned out, but more importantly than anything that they do not have to worry about cleaning up ever again after a storm.

Concrete Leveling & Concrete Crack Repair

The sunken and cracked concrete around your Livingston Manor home is both an eyesore and a safety hazard. Whether you've experienced an uneven patio or cracked driveway, the problem is likely to get worse. Luckily, we offer innovative solutions!

To level and lift sinking concrete, our experts use PolyLevel, a superior polyurethane foam. Here's how it works: small holes are drilled in the concrete, the foam is injected and the expanding foam lifts the concrete. The majority of contractors you call will recommend mudjacking instead of foam. However, mudjacking is heavier, requires larger holes in the concrete and does not last as long as PolyLevel

For cracked concrete repair, we offer NexusPro, an ultra-flexible concrete sealant that repairs cracks and joints. NexusPro can be applied year-round and is resistant to extreme weather patterns, temperature fluctuations, and more, ensuring long-lasting results.

We Fix
  • Cracked Driveways
  • Uneven Patios
  • Sinking Sidewalks

  • Uneven Concrete
  • Sunken Pool Decks
  • Highway & Commercial Issues

Hello! We have a crack in our concrete garage floor with continuous water seeping out. This has been going on for over a year but we haven't been able to solve the problem yet. We think it is either a radiant heating pipe leak or an issue with our drainage (gutter pipe grading has changed over the years so now its draining back into that corner of the house instead of out to daylight). Potentially looking for sump pump and basement sealing. I don't get great service here, so email is better for initial contact, if possible. Thank you so much!

I have a 100 year old house and a hand dug basement with cement block walls. Years of water coming through and now my wall is bowing. I want to make the structure safe before the winter. Also have drainage issues on the property.

I have a cottage on piers. Each year the shifting ruins my floor installation, looking for a sound alternative.

My house has constant water seepage into the the basement. The basement is old and stone and the grading of the property slopes toward the house from the road. There is a sump pump in the basement but I am hoping to eliminate and dry out the basement as permanently as possible. Raining days and snow melt are exceptionally bad and give the pump quite a workout.

Hey -- we have a crawl space that needs a vapor barrier. Maybe 900 square feet. We'd also consider getting an estimate on extending the existing concrete slab for some of that space to make it more usable for storage.

I have puddles in my basement from the snow melt. Do you give estimates for my area? Thanks!

Hello, I have water leaking into the basement of my Cape Cod 1200 sf style house and I think the previous owner did not waterproof the exterior wall of the foundations properly. I need to get this fix and was wondering what are my options and how much it would cost. Thanks, V
