The sunken and cracked concrete around your Orange County home is both an eyesore and a safety hazard. Whether you've experienced an uneven patio or cracked driveway, the problem is likely to get worse. Luckily, we offer an innovative solution!

Our experts use PolyLevel, a superior polyurethane foam solution. Small holes are drilled in the concrete, the foam is injected and the expanding foam lifts the concrete. Laying a New Concrete Floor & SuperSump Pump - Pine Bush, NY

This homeowner contacted Basement Systems of New York speceifically because their block foundation had several cracks in the floor, which standing water was coming up through. They needed this project completed as quickly as possible because they are trying to sell the home in a timely manner.

In order to remediate the issue they were having we installed our patented WaterGuard system, which was tied into our SuperSump pump. We as well poured a new concrete floor.

In implemeting these three systems we were able to make sure that any and all water that could penetrate their basement would be redirected to our SuperSump pump and out of the basement, as well by pouring a new concrete floor we were able to remove those eye sores of cracks but more importantly keep the basement dry.

Now that we have remediate this problem for them they will be able to sell their home and not have to constantly worry about people backing out due to this issue.

Helping a Home With A Troublesome Foundation - Lake Katrine, NY

This homeowner's foundation was in deep trouble and needed help to bring it back to its former beauty. Before this could be done our specialist needed to complete his inspection to get a grasp of how bad the situation was before he could propose a solution to the problem.

After conducting his inspection he realized that to bring their home's foundation back to where it used to be we would need to remove and replace approx 20 ft of the main girder and prep the floor with gravel and 6 Mil vapor barrier. We would need to as well pour a new 3" concrete floor and install our SmartJack support system to stabilize the floor joist and beams.

Once these systems were installed we were able to one alleviate the water problems that they were having, which were caused by the foundation issues in their home and two we were able to remove the foundation problems in their home which allow for them to have a sound home again that they did not have to consistently worry about daily.

Installing DryTrak and a SuperSump - Stone Ridge, NY

This basement was completely wet, as this homeowner was having multiple issues with water penetrating her home.

To remediate the issues at hand we installed both systems inside and outside her home. The specific systems that we installed were our DryTrak perimeter waterproofing system with a SuperSump pump, IceGuard for their gutters and finally lawnScape for their yard.

Having implemented these three systems we were able to make sure for their home was secure from both the inside and outside regardless of the season they were in or the upcoming one. Since everything was installed they have noticed nothing but comfort and they are loving every minute of being able to reclaim their basement for additional space.

Getting Rid of Humidity With SaniDry Santa Fe - Port Ewen, NY

This homeowner's home was 90% secure from all the elements, the only element they had not accounted for was that dreaded humidity. To get their home to the 100% mark they needed to install several dehumidifiers due to the size of their home.

To accomplish this we installed four separate SaniDry Santa Fe dehumidifiers. Each dehumidifier works independently of each other and was calibrated specifically to keep relative humidity below 65% to keep the home as dry and comfortable as possible but to also stop mold from growing in the home.

Since these four independent dehumidifiers have been installed the homeowners have noticed nothing but a drastic change in the comfort level of their home.

Waterproofing a Foundation For Olympia Development - Cornwall, NY

Basement Systems was contacted to waterproof a new builds foundation in a quick time frame to make sure that the project stayed on pace to be completed in the developers' time frame.

We were contacted to waterproof the foundation of this new build based on our previous work with them, as well with other clients that we had done work for. Because of how experienced our crews are we were able to waterproof the foundation with Rub-R-Wall within half the time they had allocated for the project. Because of this, they were extremely happy that they could stay on track and even be a bit ahead of schedule.

Waterproofing and Repairing a Home's Foundation - Port Jervis, NY

This homeowner had a merriad of issues occuring related to both water and foundation problems. the problems that they were having stemmed to the point that they were having issues in their basement, as well as their garage when it came to water issues. As well their foundation problems were prevalent throughout their home due to a multitude of issues that could be seen. After our specialist had completed his assessment he was able to propose an all incompassing solution to make sure that all area that they were having issues was taken care of and they would never have to worry about them in the future whether they lived there, or if they chose to sell their home in the future.

To take care of the water and foundation problems at hand we install our patented WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system alond with feed lines, as well as a TripleSafe pump system with an UltraSump battery back-up pumping system and WaterWatch alarm system. We then proceeded to install BrightWall paneling on their walls to provide them with a waterproofing system that would tie into their WaterGuard system, as well as provide them with a moisture/vapor barrier. Finally, we installed Push Piers and sealed up any cracks that were noticable with urithane crack injection.

Since this multi-tier system has been installed they have been able to return to a life of normalcy, more importantly, the issues they were experiencing and noticing throughout the home disappeared overnight thanks to our work.

Making a Basement Dry - Walden, NY

This homeowner's home had many different areas that in his mind could have been causing his home to take on water in the basement. More specifically in his mind, it could have stemmed from their crawl space. After a throughout inspection by our specialist, it was prevalent to us that the water issues he was having were caused due to the basement, more specifically the way the home had settled and the pitch in the yard. We explained all of this to him and he agreed and understood why the issue he was having was occurring and why it was occurring in that area.

To make sure that this issue was taken care of we install our WaterGuard Waterproofing system along the perimeter of his basement, which tied into our SuperSump pump liner with 20 feet of discharge line. The reasoning for this was if or when water would come into the home it would be directed to our WaterGuard system, which would travel it to the sump pump and out through the discharge line. Because we were able to explain to him why the water problem was occurring and fix it for him he was extremely grateful and is so ecstatic now that he does not have to worry about it anymore.

Encapsulating A Crawl Space - Warwick, NY

These homeowners could not figure out why their home for the longest time would have a musty/moldy smell to it, or why it was so humid all the time. Thankfully we were able to come in to do our evaluation and explain to them why they were having these issues and how to properly take care of them.

In this instance, we needed to install a CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system both on the floor and six inches up the wall, as well drainage matting under the CleanSpace to seal their crawl space off from the earth as well from water and moisture coming in.

Since we encapsulated their crawl space they have had nothing but great results and are so happy that they decided to make their crawl space and home more comfortable.

Rescuing a Home With Water Problems - Cambell Hal

This home was in trouble due to the water issues that it was having because of settlement, more specifically because of the pitch that was occurring in the yard, as well underneath the foundation that our specialist was able to determine had been occurring for some time due to how the pitch outside was.

We were able to remediate the issues at hand with the help of our patented WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system, which ran around the entirety of the extremely large basement with many different angles. We then installed a TripleSafe pump system with an UltraSump battery back-up pumping system and a WaterWatch alarm system to make sure that they were protected 24/7/365 regardless if they had power or not. Since then they have had nothing but a dry and comfortable basement, and they are so thankful that Basement Systems came to their rescue.

Installing New Windows - New Hampton, NY

This homeowner thought that from how their windows were failing they had an issue with their foundation, upon further inspection by our specialist we were able to determine that they were having these issues because of a water issue, more specifically the seals were not tight enough and from that, they were warping.

The most cost-effective and effective way to fix this problem was to install three Everlast double panel sliding windows. After having Basement Systems do this the homeowner has been able to rid his home of the eyesore windows that he was not proud of but more importantly has been able to keep water out of his home.

Fixing An Unstable Wall - Cornwall On Hudson, NY

Now and then these homeowners felt as though their home was not secure because they thought their floor was shifting and they had a pitch forming in their floor. To their dismay, after our inspection, this was occurring due to one of their walls in the basement.

Before starting this project we had to first make sure we took care of the electrical panel properly, as well we had to remove the baseboard plumbing lines due to where they were located and the type of work we were going to perform. We next installed our PowerBraces using an 8' brace with top bridge brackets to secure the foundation, home, and wall. Finally, we replaced the baseboard plumbing lines that we had initially removed.

After all the work was completed they have noticed how much more solid their home is due to the change they made to supporting their home as well to supporting their basement wall. They can now say with certainty that their home is structurally fit.

Lifting A SideWalk With PolyLevel - Rock Tavern, NY

We ended up lifiting a sidwalk up 1" heavy and away from the home to make sure that it was level, as well it was in proper alignment of the home. By doing this we were able to get rid of the tripping hazard in front of this homeowners home, but more importantly for him rid his home of an awful eye sore.

Lifting Concrete Around A Home - Salisbury Mills, NY

This homeowner had a small 154 SQFT patio that they loved to entertain on, the only problem they had with it was that it was sinking and they were only able to use a certain percentage now of their patio. They hated the fact that they could not use it to its full potential

Basement Systems came to the rescue of their sinking patio with the help of PolyLevel. To take care of the problem at hand we drilled our 5/8th pilot holes to apply PolyLevel below the concrete in the voids that had been created over time. We then methodically started to raise it till it was level again.

This homeowner was extremely grateful to be able to regain the ability to use their patio for what it was fully intended for vs only being able to use a small portion of it.

Foundation Waterproofing - Circleville, NY

This homeowner noticed before it would start to deteriate that he was having a water problem around his foundation. Due to this he decided to take matters into his own hands. He decided to have us waterproof his foundation with Rub-R-Wall to make sure that his home was secure regardless of how much water would touch it.

Transforming a Basement With BrightWall and Our Basementaire Dehumidification System - Newburgh, NY

These homeowners originally wanted to transform their additional space into a huge bathroom but decided that they should instead improve the overall quality of their space, which would ultimately improve the overall quality of their basement, but as well their home. Because of this, they contacted Basement Systems of New York to see how we could help them transform their space into a beautiful functional space.

To improve the overall quality of their space we had to first grind a minimum of three feet high of paint off their walls to make sure that we would remove all moisture, as well as remnants of mold. Once this was completed we applied moldex to their walls and box beam to help remediate the mold issue they previously had. Once this was completed we applied our BirghtWall panels to their unfinished walls, by applying these pannels we were able to change the look of their basement, as well as brighten it. Finally, we installed our Basementaire dehumidification system to make sure that their humidity levels, as well their signs of humidity throughout the home were non-existent.

Overall these homeowners were extremely happy with how we transformed their basement into a functional and usable space to the point that they could not believe that this was the same basement that looked like a dungeon only a few hours ago.

Waterproofing A Sixty Year Old Walkout Basement - PIne Bush, NY

These homeowners were referred to us by their neighbors. Because of how well his system has been working, he knew that Basement Systems Of New York was the right team for their job. Their home has always had a water issue since they had purchased it almost sixty years ago. The water issues that they were dealing with were in regards to water seepage from the center of the floor and the corners, more commonly referred to as the wall floor joint in their walkout basement.

To ensure that water would not penetrate their home ever again, we started by creating our trench around the perimeter of the basement and through the center of the floor to create a lateral. Once fully formed we filled them with gravel and perforated pipe. Once completed, we tied everything into our patented FlowGuard waterproofing system and our patented sump pump.

Since installing our patented waterproofing system, these homeowners have not seen an ounce of water nor a weep of humidity. They could not believe that the constant problem that they had been dealing with for sixty years was finally gone. They asked themselves why didn't we do this sooner. These homeowners could not be any happier with how their project turned out. TLC For A Home And It's Homeowner

During heavy storms, water was penetrating this homeowner's basement. From what they could tell it was seeping up through the floor. Because she just lost her husband she was in need of both help for her home and herself. Because of this our team took extra special care of her and her home. We started by helping her address her emotional loss. Once those were addressed we were able to address the problem in her home. To fix the issue at hand we installed our patented dual-stage waterproofing system, which we tied into our TripleSafe sump pump. Because of the extra care that we took of her, she was more than grateful to have us in her home to fix the issue at hand, but at the same time because of this, she was sad to see us go.

Using Stabil-Loc Push Piers To Restore Structural Integrity To A Home - New Windsor, NY

These homeowners originally called us to inspect their homes' foundations just after purchasing them because they noticed many cracks. Because of the issue, they began doing their due diligence and researching companies online. They found our company website, which told them that if you have cracks in your foundation, your floors may be out of level upstairs. Also, they were experiencing cracks above their windows and doors, a tell-tale sign that their foundation could be sinking.

They called us to see if there was a solution to rectify the problem. We took benchmark measurements during the initial home inspection and provided a full foundation inspection, which revealed that the foundation had sunken.

After we provided them with the proposal, they were unable to complete the project due to a lack of funds. They needed some time to budget for it. So, two years later, they reached out and said they were ready to do it.

Because of the time that had passed, we had to reinspect their home. Upon this inspection, the project had to expand due to increased settlement. Initially, the project called for eighteen push piers, which turned into twenty-one piers because we had to support the sections that previously were not an issue.

Since completing their project, they have noticed that their home feels much stronger when walking. They don't constantly hear noises that worry them, and they don't have issues with items in their home rolling away due to their homes sinking. Most importantly, peace of mind has been restored to them, and they can sleep peacefully at night now without worrying if their house will fall.

Enhancing Aesthetic Appeal Of A Pool Deck With PolyLevel and Deco Shield - Campbell Hall, NY

Our team was called upon to address the sinking and discoloration issues of the pool deck. To rectify the problem, we employed a highly effective solution. Firstly, we carefully drilled 5/8th pilot holes around the entire pool deck, reaching the depths of the voids. Using our advanced PolyLevel technology, we filled these voids, effectively lifting, leveling, and supporting the deck. This meticulous process ensured that the deck was once again level, eliminating any tripping hazards.Following the successful leveling process, we focused on revitalizing the appearance of the concrete. Our environmentally safe cleaner was applied to prepare the surface, and a thorough power washing was conducted to remove dirt, grime, and stains. Once the deck was clean and ready, we expertly applied our walnut color stain, Deco Shield. This transformative application not only restored the deck's aesthetic appeal but also harmonized its appearance with the homeowner's residence, fence, and surrounding areas. The homeowners were thrilled with the results we achieved. They expressed their satisfaction with the removal of tripping hazards, ensuring the safety of their pool area. Additionally, they were delighted with the remarkable transformation of their pool deck, giving it the appearance of a brand-new pool that seamlessly blended with their home. Restoring Peace Of Mind After Torrential Rainstorms With FlowGuard Interior Waterproofing System and Gravity Discharge Line - Slate Hill, NY

This homeowner approached us with a distressing issue – their home was susceptible to water ingress during heavy rainstorms. After enduring multiple torrential downpours, they grew tired of the constant hassle and sought a lasting solution.

Recognizing the urgency, they engaged a handyman for emergency measures to prevent mold and other problems in the affected area. Upon meticulous assessment by our specialists, it was evident that an interior waterproofing system was essential. The objective was not only to maintain a consistently dry home but also to restore the homeowner's peace of mind.

Considering the specific foundation layout, our team concluded that implementing our advanced FlowGuard system was the optimal course of action. Focusing on the unfinished part of the basement where the slab wasn't flush with the footing, our approach involved a strategic installation of the FlowGuard system. To ensure effective water drainage and alignment, we incorporated a drainage mat along the wall's perimeter. Seamlessly integrating our system, we extended its functionality by connecting it to a gravity discharge line positioned at the basement's front.

This ingenious arrangement effectively diverts water away from the house, providing an added layer of protection. A meticulous finishing touch involved encasing our system with concrete and smoothing the grade of the gravity discharge line, ensuring both functionality and aesthetics. While initially skeptical about the project's disruptions during implementation, the homeowner's skepticism was replaced with profound satisfaction.

Our Installation Specialists showcased their expertise by executing the installation with minimal intrusion. The outcome not only fulfilled the homeowner's expectations but exceeded them. The once daunting process resulted in a seamless integration that practically vanished from sight.

This transformation not only resolved the homeowner's concerns but also freed them from the burdensome routine of basement cleanup after each rainfall. The newfound peace of mind and the elimination of stress associated with water intrusion reinforced their confidence in our services. This

Reviving a Water-Damaged Barn - Walden, NY

A concerned homeowner reached out to us due to persistent water infiltration issues in their barn. The barn's floor was severely deteriorated, lacking proper slope for water drainage, and offering insufficient storage accessibility. To address these problems effectively, we embarked on a comprehensive restoration project. Here's how we tackled it:

  1. Creating Proper Drainage: We began by excavating the areas in front of the barn doors to establish the required slope for efficient water management and better utilization of the space.

  2.
  3. Forming the Foundation: After achieving the correct depth, we meticulously constructed 2x10 wooden forms to shape the concrete foundation. These forms served as the framework for our concrete work.

  4.
  5. Enhancing Structural Integrity: Ensuring long-term stability and strength, we strategically placed both vertical and horizontal rebar, providing the necessary structural support for the concrete slabs.

  6.
  7. Pouring New Slabs: With our preparations complete, we proceeded to pour two fresh concrete slabs—one outside the front barn doors and one outside the back barn doors. These slabs would be instrumental in resolving the water infiltration issue.

  8.
  9. Barn-Wide Restoration: Our efforts extended to pouring a new concrete slab throughout the entire barn, revitalizing the entire space.

  10.
  11. With this comprehensive project completed, the barn has been restored to its former glory. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but it is also now a fully functional space, free from the constant threat of water damage. The homeowners are delighted with their investment in restoring the barn's functionality and appearance.

Our success in transforming this barn demonstrates the importance of addressing foundational issues to create a safe, functional, and visually appealing space. If you're facing similar challenges with your property, don't hesitate to reach out to us. We're here to help you restore and enhance your living spaces.

Foundation Rescue Waterproofing and Reinforcement Success for Homeowners - Warwick, NY

We were recommended to these homeowners by a contractor who identified a significant issue with their Monolithic foundation leading to water seepage. The seepage resulted in standing water during heavy rainstorms and spring melts, prompting the homeowners to address the problem before refinishing their basement.

The challenge was not only water penetration but also a bowing right wall due to the water-related pressure from the earth. Despite having received three other proposals, the homeowners chose us over a company that misunderstood the comprehensive scope of the necessary work. To tackle the water penetration, our first step involved creating a trench for a perforated pipe. Subsequently, we dug a basin for our SuperSump Plus, equipped with a 1/3 horsepower Zoeller pump. Grinding the walls allowed us to install CarbonArmor foundation reinforcement strips. We then set up piping in the trench, connecting it to the sump pump, reconcreted over it, and applied our DryTrak waterproofing system to the wall-floor joint.

The result? All the issues affecting their home have been successfully resolved. Thanks to our systems, the homeowners can now proceed with finishing their basement, providing them with both functional space and peace of mind.

Building A New Wall With Waterproofing and Parging - Warwick, NY

Our clients faced water infiltration issues due to a hill behind their house and a pool with a retaining wall. Heavy rains and rising water tables flooded the mulch beds, causing water to seep beneath the pool liner and into the basement. Unsure if the retaining wall needed replacement, they also had a leaking Egress Window.

To address the problem, we excavated around the foundation, removed the Egress Window, and constructed a new footing. After installing a frame for a new door, we applied a comprehensive waterproofing system and installed a Schedule 35 pipe for gravity discharge. Finally, we waterproofed the interior of the foundation.

Since completion, the homeowners haven't experienced any water penetration issues. They're pleased with the investment in their home and resolution of the problem.

From Collapse to Confidence A Garage and Foundation Saved - Warwick, NY
A few months ago, a concerned homeowner reached out to us with a serious issue. Their garage, which housed a car lift, was showing alarming signs of distress. The back wall had started leaning away from the home, and to their shock, the car lift had sunken and collapsed the garage floor. After repairing the floor, they hoped their troubles were over. But the back wall continued to lean, and they knew it was time to call in an expert.

Upon inspection, we discovered several cracks in the foundation, revealing a more significant issue: the home wasn’t just sliding down the hill—it was also settling.

To address these problems, we carefully installed seven Stabil-Loc push piers underneath the foundation—four along the back wall and three on the side. These piers allowed us to lift, level, and support the home, effectively stopping the settlement.

But our work didn’t stop there. To prevent further movement, we ground down the foundation’s surface and applied SRS carbon fiber strips in both bidirectional and unidirectional patterns, using epoxy to bond them securely. Finally, we parged the wall, protecting the foundation and carbon fiber strips from sunlight, ensuring the system would hold up over time.

Since the installation, the homeowner has noticed everything is level again. Most importantly, they’ve regained their peace of mind, knowing their home is secure and stable once more.
