Mountain Cabin Rescue Strengthening Structural Integrity with Innovative Solutions - Big Indian, NY

These homeowners' dream of owning a cabin on the mountainside in Big Indian, New York, turned into a nightmare when they discovered worrisome structural issues. Fearful that their beloved home might eventually slide off the mountain due to poor construction, soil degradation, and water erosion, they sought professional assistance.

Upon inspection, we identified critical problems caused by the failing block piering system. To secure the safety of our team, we initiated temporary support for the cabin before commencing work. Our first step was the meticulous removal of the old block piers.

To ensure a lasting solution, we dug deep into the earth to create solid footings for our SmartJack systems. These sturdy poured footings were strategically placed at the front and center of the cabin, providing strong bases for the SmartJack installations.

In addition, we addressed the issue at the very back of the crawl space by replacing their old main girder with a new triple main girder. This is supported by our SmartJacks, this reinforced girder significantly improved the overall stability of the cabin.

The threat of water penetration was also eliminated by pouring a robust concrete wall at the back of the crawl space. This proactive measure ensured that the homeowners' cherished abode would remain safeguarded from future water-related damages.

Since the completion of this transformative project, the homeowners have experienced a remarkable improvement in their cabin's structural integrity. The SmartJack systems and reinforced girders have provided unprecedented stability, putting their worries to rest.

Our dedicated efforts not only saved their home from potential disaster but, more importantly, restored the homeowners' peace of mind. With confidence in their cabin's structural reliability, they can now fully enjoy their mountain retreat without fear or apprehension.

Installing a New Concrete Slab With Two SuperSump Plus Sump Pump Systems - Big Indian, NY

This homeowner lives by a river and as a result, they continually got water in their basement, because of this reason they decided many years ago to leave the basement as it was. After many years of dealing with the headache of receiving two-plus feet of water in their basement every time after it would storm they said enough is enough and contacted Basement Systems of New York to see what their options were to take care of the issue at hand.

For us to take care of the water problem they were experiencing and bring peace of mind to them, we poured approximately 2' on average of 3/8ths gravel in their basement. Once this was completed we installed two of our patented SuperSump Plus systems with two separate discharge lines. Once both sump pumps were installed we laid down our drain matting, which will help divert any water that possibly would penetrate their home to their new sump pumps. Finally, we poured a new four-inch thick concrete slab over everything.

Due to performing this work their basement was transformed from a basement into a crawl space. Although they lost some head and storage space they gained a more comfortable usable area. Since we completed this project they have not seen any water and could not be more pleased with the decision they made to contact us and have the work performed.

Enhancing Aesthetic Appeal Of A Pool Deck With PolyLevel and Deco Shield - Campbell Hall, NY

Our team was called upon to address the sinking and discoloration issues of the pool deck. To rectify the problem, we employed a highly effective solution. Firstly, we carefully drilled 5/8th pilot holes around the entire pool deck, reaching the depths of the voids. Using our advanced PolyLevel technology, we filled these voids, effectively lifting, leveling, and supporting the deck. This meticulous process ensured that the deck was once again level, eliminating any tripping hazards.Following the successful leveling process, we focused on revitalizing the appearance of the concrete. Our environmentally safe cleaner was applied to prepare the surface, and a thorough power washing was conducted to remove dirt, grime, and stains. Once the deck was clean and ready, we expertly applied our walnut color stain, Deco Shield. This transformative application not only restored the deck's aesthetic appeal but also harmonized its appearance with the homeowner's residence, fence, and surrounding areas. The homeowners were thrilled with the results we achieved. They expressed their satisfaction with the removal of tripping hazards, ensuring the safety of their pool area. Additionally, they were delighted with the remarkable transformation of their pool deck, giving it the appearance of a brand-new pool that seamlessly blended with their home. The professionalism and expertise exhibited by our skilled crews left a lasting impression on the homeowners, who were grateful to have chosen us for this project.

WaterGuard System

Our team was able to remove the cement underneath the water heater and install a WaterGuard System. The WaterGuard system is Uniquely shaped similarly to a D. This helps releave pressure against the foundation which also helps prevent moinsture, and mold. The special design also has a wall flange that also has spaces inbetween the flanges to allow any water that comes from wall seepage.

Triple Safe Sump Pump in Washingtonville

This is an example of a before and during picture. Our team had to jackahmmer around the entire floor and even underneath and around obstacles such as water heaters. After jackhammering our team removes the cement and dirt which lies underneath the floor. After removing all of that they then, add crushed blue stone to help direct the water that seeps in through the wall and floor causing dampness, moisture, and mold. After that they installed our patented WaterGuard system, which also collects water and directs the water to the Triple Safe Sump Pump. This is what removes the water from the house. Our team sets up two Sump pumps inside of the basin which is perferated to allow the flow of water into the basin. The Sump pumps then are connected to the plumping that we also install that led to outside. Once outside our team digs another trench and installs a dischage system to remove the water further away from the house.
