The local Government complex had many troublesome areas of concern around their buildings. These issues created tripping hazards and an eyesore for both officials and residents. To remedy this our team Injected PolyLevel foam under the slab to fill in voids and lift and level the concrete. By doing so we were able to allow them to return to a complex of complete function, as well give them peace of mind that no one would injure themselves.
Just as we are always improving the lives of our clients and bringing peace of mind to them we are always improving our shop. Our team needed a dedicated area to keep materials, supplies, and miscellaneous tools/vehicles. Because of this need, we decided the best thing to do was to pour a new concrete slab that would be dedicated to these items. We now have one area where all our items can be stored, instead of them being stored in multiple locations throughout the shop.
This homeowner had contacted us about two and half years ago saying they thought they had a leak in their basement. Our Specialist then went out and evaluated their home, upon his evaluation he was able to confirm their thoughts about a plumbing leak, he as well mentioned to them that there were a couple of signs that concerned him about their being potentially a bigger water problem in the future. Two years later our Specialist received a call again from the homeowner that their basement was taking on an extreme amount of water due to the issues that our Specialist had pointed out during his previous evaluation. He was able to figure out that they had a lot of hydrostatic pressure pushing water up into their basement.
For us to fix the problem at hand for this homeowner to ensure that their home stays dry regardless of the season, as well as the amount of rain or snow they get we installed one of our patented waterproofing systems, which is comprised of 160 feet of FlowGuard, an under slab system with a lateral that spaned from the back part of their basement to our sump basin. Finally to make sure that all water caught by our waterproofing system would be directed out of the home we installed a SuperSump basin with approximately 220 feet of gravity discharged, which would run in front of their home to the front right-hand corner of the property where it would discharge into their pond.
We were recommended to these homeowners by a contractor who identified a significant issue with their Monolithic foundation leading to water seepage. The seepage resulted in standing water during heavy rainstorms and spring melts, prompting the homeowners to address the problem before refinishing their basement.
The challenge was not only water penetration but also a bowing right wall due to the water-related pressure from the earth. Despite having received three other proposals, the homeowners chose us over a company that misunderstood the comprehensive scope of the necessary work. To tackle the water penetration, our first step involved creating a trench for a perforated pipe. Subsequently, we dug a basin for our SuperSump Plus, equipped with a 1/3 horsepower Zoeller pump. Grinding the walls allowed us to install CarbonArmor foundation reinforcement strips. We then set up piping in the trench, connecting it to the sump pump, reconcreted over it, and applied our DryTrak waterproofing system to the wall-floor joint.
The result? All the issues affecting their home have been successfully resolved. Thanks to our systems, the homeowners can now proceed with finishing their basement, providing them with both functional space and peace of mind.
Our clients faced water infiltration issues due to a hill behind their house and a pool with a retaining wall. Heavy rains and rising water tables flooded the mulch beds, causing water to seep beneath the pool liner and into the basement. Unsure if the retaining wall needed replacement, they also had a leaking Egress Window.
To address the problem, we excavated around the foundation, removed the Egress Window, and constructed a new footing. After installing a frame for a new door, we applied a comprehensive waterproofing system and installed a Schedule 35 pipe for gravity discharge. Finally, we waterproofed the interior of the foundation.
Since completion, the homeowners haven't experienced any water penetration issues. They're pleased with the investment in their home and resolution of the problem.
